Trenching and Excavation

This (4) hour course helps participants recognize and avoid unsafe conditions in the workplace. Class members will be made aware of regulations applicable to the dangers of digging trenches and excavations. The proper identification of soil conditions and the best practices to avoid cave-ins, potential serious injuries or deaths. Learn about specific excavation requirements, the soil classification system and mandates for protective systems. While completing this excavation and trenching safety training, you are encouraged to follow along with the OSHA Excavation Standard 1926.650, Subpart P
